Appendix C: FAQ |

Some companies use what is called a Proxy Server (or just "Proxy") as a part of their Local Area Network (LAN) to control traffic to & from the Internet. This can be a proxy server or the proxy is a part of other network equipment. There is a way for you to setup Impulse to work with a proxy, but you need to talk to your Network Administrator/Engineer to get the following information: Address of proxy (e.g. proxy.impulsedriven.com), Port (e.g. 80), Username, and Password. Adding this to Impulse may resolve the connection problems you are experiencing.

You must have Impulse installed, then you will see the option to download the optional "Impulse Dock" on the "My Software" tab as a free download. (In "Preferences" you must have "Show freeware & demos" checked to see Impulse Dock as an application to download.)
